Farmbase enables rural professional to promote your services to farmers for free.  You can list in over 250 service categories, in as many regions across New Zealand where you operate.  Any memberships or accreditations are also displayed to reassure the farmer that you meet required standards.

At Farmbase, our job is to get you in front of farmers, not to get involved in any discussion or negotiations - we’re simply the handshake through.

You can easily find what you need to know, and who can get the work done for you. 

Registering means you can keep track of any service requests to rural professionals you make. You can easily reconnect with those you regularly use, or find new professionals to engage with. You do not need to register on the site to search our platform, but registering saves you time as it remembers your details, making it quicker to send requests out. Whenever you need help on-farm, visit Farmbase and follow our simple four-step process.

Registering and creating a public profile on Farmbase is FREE! You can list in an unlimited number of search categories and across as many regions where you offer your services. Your public profile is returned when a user has selected any of the search categories and regions where you are listed.

Both rural professionals and farmers register with Farmbase by clicking the register button in the header. Once registered, simply click on the rural professional option to set up your public profile.  Creating a public profile on Farmbase is FREE!

If you are unable find a service or activity, please email us at We will review your request and, if reasonable, will add it as a search category.  We will also investigate any relevant national or regional rules and will add these on the search return page. We will let you know when this has been completed.

If you have content that you would like published on our What you need to know section, email it through to for us to review. We will let you know the outcome of your request.

All content on Farmbase is reviewed and updated every three months.

Farmbase is funded through sponsorship and partnerships. We removed all cost barriers to ensure Farmbase remains accessible to everyone.
