10 November 2021 - Farmbase is now free for everyone!
Following the successful national launch of Farmbase at Fieldays in June, Farmbase has made a significant change to their business model – they are now completely free.
Carly Waddleton, managing director of Farmbase said “When we spoke to people at Fieldays, it brought home just how hard the agricultural industry has been hit over the last few years. What with increased regulations, economic challenges, supply chain issues and Covid, we just felt we needed to do more to support the industry... which is why Farmbase is now freely available to all. It absolutely feels like the right thing to do.”
Waddleton says “We are continuing to see rapid growth in site usage and interaction with our content and search categories. To continue our growth we are moving to a sponsorship and partnership model, and if you think your values align with ours, then we’d like to hear from you.”
If you’re a rural professional, ensure your business is listed for free by heading to our Join Us page.

8 June 2021 - The countdown to Fieldays 2021 is on!
We are looking forward to being out and about at Fieldays (16th – 19th June). After the craziness of last year it is a real privilege to be meeting you all in person – we are ready for some non-screen time!
Be sure to come on over to the Agribusiness Marquee, site AG2c opposite the village green. We are happy to have a chat about Farmbase, Fieldays, the weather...or just come put your feet up for with us for a while – Fieldays can be tiring! We also have some great giveaways including a daily prize draw to win a beautiful throw. We will draw the winner at the end of each day. See you there!
16 April 2021 - 2 Degrees Shop Local Win
We are honoured and very excited to announce that we are the Canterbury winner of the 2 degrees Shop Local Competition. It is great that organisations like 2 Degrees are able to support businesses like ourselves through these awards. We look forward to working with them on the prize!

24 March 2021 - SIAFD in Kirwee
We are set up and looking forward to talking with you all inside the covered marquee (C70) so drop by and say hello. We also have some great neighbours such as Rural Women NZ, Fertilser NZ and Federated Farmers. So, if the sun is shining or the Nor'Wester is blowing (won't be a Fieldays without a Nor'Wester) then come inside to see how Farmbase can help you find who and what you need to know.
10 March 2021 - Fieldays are coming
After a nervous wait as alert levels have shifted up and down, we can finally get excited about the South Island Agricultural Field Days from the 24th -26th March at Kirwee. Given we didn't have much opportunity last year to get out and about and see you all in person, needless to say we are very much looking forward to this event.
Get the gum boots (or jandals depending on the weather) and your tickets (available here: https://www.siafd.co.nz/) and we'll meet you in Kirwee!
1 January - 2021
As the gate shuts on 2020 (what a year), for once lets not spend too much time reflecting on the past 12 months...and look forward to the year ahead.

If this is something you're interested in being a part of - drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit https://farmbase.co.nz/rural-professionals . We look forward to working with you in 2021.

We are just working our way through them and are updating our 'What you need to know' sections. In the meantime, to find our more head to the Knowledge Base here.

13 July 2020 - Farmbase at Fieldays
Farmbase is excited to be part of this year's Fieldays Online event which starts on Monday 13th July, and finishes on Sunday 26th July. This year, just like many of us, Fieldays has had to adapt to the changed environment we now find ourselves in. Even though we can’t be there in person, Fieldays Online have done a great job of developing an interactive event with all the excitement of a traditional Fieldays event, just without the mud and wind. Stop by and check out our Farmbase virtual site at Fieldays Online, we are in the Innovation Hub.
